lyrics
I’ll turn the page I hope you’ll do the same
Another chapter falls beneath the rain
Woke up and smelt the ink stains blotted all beneath the weekdays
Scattered thoughts and the lies I bought
Best intentions attract me like a moth to a flame
Turn off the lights and cover up you’ll never feel the same
Hey there world, you’re on my mind
Reliving all the best times, they’re all on rewind
I went off the deep end and nearly drowned
Made up some stories I wrote them down
An author without a care anywhere to be found
I think I could go for another round
(another round)
(another round)
What am I doing with my life
I was content with solitude
Library filled with books and they were never due
(never due) (never due)
It’s like a one-way mirror’s forcing me to stare at myself
Life’s on display for the world like the dust on a shelf
Round and round, you’ve got me feeling obtuse
I’ll say something back at the risk of being rude
I went off the deep end and nearly drowned
Made up some stories I wrote them down
An author without a care anywhere to be found
I think I could go for another round
I can see so many responsibilities
You’re asking me what am I doing
I’m moving on with hope everlasting
Awesome album from start to finish. PW's destinctive style is present throughout, but every track is a fresh effort, and the album successfully transitions from driving rock to mellow contemplation without sounding forced or rehashed. I'm not as big of a fan of the remixes, but I appreciate their inclusion and unique perspective. Hard to ask for more than 16 tracks with no skips! theCANderson
